At Compass College Advisors, our goal is to provide individualized assistance to your student that can empower them to navigate their college search and application processes.

Compass was founded in 2012 by Mary Pat St.Jean, after spending her professional career assisting secondary and post-secondary students and their families with college placement and career exploration. She has worked in undergraduate admissions at Providence College and New York University. At NYU she worked closely with applicants to the Tisch School of the Arts and was promoted to Senior Assistant Director of Admissions where Mary Pat was the team leader for admissions to the Leonard N. Stern School of Business. She later served as Director of Admissions at the Weston Jesuit School of Theology (now part of the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry).

She completed her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at the Boston College Lynch School of Education while providing career counseling in the Career Services Office at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After receiving her MA she worked as a Guidance Counselor at Winchester High School in Winchester, MA. Before starting Compass College Advisors, Mary Pat has also worked with numerous families as an independent contractor to other education and consulting organizations.
